GL-5 gear oil, MTF, ATF and PTF serve different requirements. Keep the system type and complete fluid designation together. A similar viscosity or the word transmission on a label is not enough to establish compatibility.
GL-5 entries and synthetic EP gear oil. Axle or gearbox specification and viscosity.
MTF. Transmission-specific fluid requirement.
ATF. Exact specification and compatibility.
PTF and torque converter oil. System requirement and full product designation.
Combined-use product entry. Equipment requirement for the shared system.

| Selection point | Information to keep | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Lubrication point | Axle or final drive, manual gearbox, automatic transmission, or torque converter | GL-5, MTF, ATF and PTF names refer to different requirements. |
| Required specification | The complete fluid specification, equipment model and viscosity where applicable | Do not select a transmission fluid by color or assume every ATF is equivalent. |
| Replacement context | Current fluid and whether it is a top-up or complete change | Compatibility and any changeover procedure must be reviewed for the actual system. |
No. Include the exact transmission requirement and request the relevant supporting information for the proposed product.
Please follow the transmission specification. GL-5 alone does not establish suitability for every manual gearbox or limited-slip differential.
Yes. List gear oil, ATF, MTF and PTF as separate items with their exact grades and quantities.
Use a separate line for each vehicle or equipment group. Include the transmission model, the full fluid requirement from its manual, the current fluid and the quantity needed. Keep ATF, MTF, axle oil and power transmission fluid requirements separate.
Review the automotive gear oil images and the exact label designation.
